“The Pull” is one of Chris Rankin’s most popular paintings, having received multiple national and international awards, including First Prize at the 2008 Draft Horse Classic art competition. “The Pull” was later used as the “Cover Art” for all Draft Horse Classic marketing materials and merchandise for the 2013 event. In 2008, the painting also won an Honorable Mention for the “Horses in Art” cover contest, as well as a prestigious “International Director’s Award” runner-up prize in the “Ex Art Equinus” competition (run by “Art Horse Magazine”) in 2010.
